I am signing in my resignation with watching any news and politics altogether. Have a good life people. I have had a health scare hence why I am going to stop altogether.

I know very well what's happening in your daily life... it's plagued by fear... believing that nothing can solve it... and as if that weren't enough, the Argentine soccer players displayed a banner with the slogan "THE MALVINAS ARE ARGENTINE."
Then I go and watch the news... all I see is outrage, and it generates even more hatred towards Argentina... to go even further, my news channel says that Argentina wants to falclands islands... (enter into a new armed conflict).

nonthing of this happened...
Like most of your political posts I have absolutely no idea what you are getting at m8, you speak in broad general assumptions, contradictions and frankly, non sensical statements 🤷‍♂️

maybe this is a language barrier for you I don’t know.. but I would suggest carefully formulating your (political/philosophical) replies and/or running them through a basic ai or translator because..

and I want to emphasize this is not a personal slight or jab at you, just an honest observation…

you are not getting across adequately what it is you want to communicate/say.

One more thing... you know what drives me to confront you? That you're completely ignoring everything that's been reported, and that everything that's been reported is actually happening...
You don't "confront" anyone m8. You spraypaint sentiments of despair, gloom and doom and anger-farming in a very loose, Alex Jones esq style. My life is not plagued by fear. Yours is. It drips off every comment you post brother...

But i'm just not interrested in only looking at how the world is burning 🤷‍♂️

...i'm interrested in discussion solutions, practical or theoretical, and methods of implementing them.

It was a long and hard fight, but I am still very cautious in my optimism.

Yes, the list that promises to fight against corruption has a majority in the Parliament now - which is amazing - but I wouldn't underestimate the losing side on this.

They still hold ~40% of the Parliament seats, they still have large influence over media, they have majority in almost all local government, ties to criminal organizations, support from certain states and business entities, and a lot of support from the more right-inclined, and older voter base. They still have a lot of their people at the police and intelligence agencies, as mayors of large cities etc.

On the other, winning side, there is a heterogeneous block that was unified only in hope to bring the government down and eliminate corruption as a priority, and then really start from there.

Serbia is quite stretched between US, EU, China and Russia, as it tries to balance territorial integrity, economic interests, political neutrality, and historical ties and relationships. The ongoing conflicts do not make it any easier, as it seems that there is a global reshuffle of power in progress. This needs to be balanced carefully, because any wrong move can split the heterogeneous block of the winning side, cause another crisis, and have an impact on our country in general.

I would say that it looks like the government that was brought down might count it as a good loss, even though they would have preferred to stay in power. They let the new government ride the current hardships (inflation, rising fuel costs, global crises), increase the pressure to fuel frustration, have new elections soon and go back up.

The winning side has shown so far that they can navigate some quite complex challenges, which is inspiring. But now the real fight starts, and now they are judged on their results. They need to start strong.

Yup, that went as expected and frankly, well deserved. Lame duck status it is.

That said, most the internal policies he seems to have box tagged in his first 2 years so we will likely see political gridlock for the remainder, aswell as limited legislative productivity.

The dems will block anything the Reps will push and the Trump will simply Veto anything the dems bring forth.

Trump will almost certainly not be in office much longer. Impeachment on the way......

Won’t pass the senate m8, dems will not secure a 2/3 majority given the current republican setup.

besides: that would mean Vance will take over, who can (if he doesn’t shift the overall sentiment come 2028) simply pull a Hunter-Biden on Trump.

I've never understood this focus on impeachment. Somewhere around Trump's first presidency it became this buzzword that pops up two to three times a year, even for Biden too. It seems to be a completely hollow talking point and threat...just partisan media slop tbh.

As for the midterms, I don't know how I feel. I'm happy to see many decent democrats take the spots of self-serving, clueless Republicans (see Texas). But these things are always changing hands, and none of my top issues seem to ever change their downward trajectory. Debt continues to spiral, cost of living outpaces wages, Israel's corrupting influence is unchallenged and a new wars continue to pop up... regardless of who controls what. It's almost as if it's meaningless, when it comes to the most impactful issues.

The chronic disease crisis the only issue thats seen positive movement with Trump, so let's see if the Dems continue to support/enable that momentum.

Most of those things are foreign-policy related (trade deals, oil, war on two fronts etc.) which is where we will probably see an increase in focus from the Trump administration the next two years (bit similar to what Jetten is doing in NL with a minority-government)

Especially in the next two months e.a. the "Window of Opportunity" before a new Congress is sworn in Januari. Any sitting US president has way more elbow space in foreign affairs like Isreal, Iran, EU, Ukraine-Russia where Congress plays a minor (mostly financial) roll,

It will likely mean:

- the Ukraine-Russia war will continue full throttle, With Ukraine now securing full western financial support, and Russia, besides expanding its war/fuel industry relying on China et co.. Unless Putin or Zelensky decides to choose eggs over money and hammer out a peace deal with territorial concessions (which both probably won't)
- the Iran war will likely stall and reach an costly impasse, which won't be beneficial for the gas station picture.
- Isreal will continue to expand/ strike as it has the support from both factions.

- the new "friend" that is venezuela might see a little uptick in us beneficial oil trade though.

Have to feel somewhat sorry for JD Vance.

Thought he was playing the long game by putting his previous dislike of Trump aside and taking a gamble to jump in as VP, in the hope he can take over in 2028.
Now he has to sit by and watch an increasingly senile old sex offender piss any chance he has away, wittering on about his vanity projects while the worlds economy flatlines.

Only chance he has now is if the orange one's 80 years of Big Mac's catch up with him before his term ends.
Even then, he'll spend the entire time fire fighting.

Unlucky, mate
