Hey everyone! 👋

I’ve been working on something a little different lately.

As an independent trance producer, I wanted to create more than just another artist website. So I’ve been developing my own ALIMA Web App, bringing my music and everything around the project together in one place.

The app is currently in public beta (v0.6.8), and I’d love to get some honest feedback from fellow trance lovers.

What you’ll find inside:

  • Music player and ALIMA releases
  • Trance playlists
  • Free downloads and exclusive content
  • Artist news and updates
  • A mobile-friendly interface

It’s a web app, so you can open it directly in your browser without downloading anything from an app store.

I’d especially love to know:

  1. How does the app feel on your phone?
  2. Is the navigation intuitive, and does the music player work properly?
  3. What would make the app genuinely useful to you as a trance listener?

And of course, if you find any bugs, please let me know!

I’m not expecting everyone to love it. Constructive criticism is exactly what I’m looking for before moving towards version 1.0.

Thanks to anyone who takes a few minutes to check it out. Really appreciate it! 🙏

Good luck with it but although just some feedback. I personally don't like having too many apps on my phone because my information being leaked (I've had one where a producer could find out where I was living which was creepy) and B) It's hard to navigate through so many apps out there already.

I completely understand your concerns, especially after that privacy experience.

Just to clarify, ALIMA is actually a web app, so there’s nothing you need to download or install. You can simply open it in your browser, and adding it to your home screen is entirely optional.

Privacy is definitely something I take seriously, and I want to be transparent about it.

The idea is to bring my music, playlists and exclusive content together in one place without forcing anyone to install yet another app.

If you ever feel like giving it a quick try, I’d love to hear what you think about the actual user experience! 😊

looking at this from my desktop, but so far looking really nice, I like the colorscheme, fonts, logo etc.
if I where to be super critical i would say theres a lot of content.

like...a lot a lot.

from the homepage getgo i'm bombarded with 2 menu bars, each with more then 8 options, (some of which have repeated links like News and Newsletter for some reason) A popup, and a scroll down/news function/ description of you.....and when i want to listen to a release I have to click like 6 times to actually get to the distrokid/youtube preview...

So my advice would be: Less is more. Keep the UI simple and to the point. for instance: "Listen, Latest release, Releases" etc. can all be under one tab simply titled: "Music" or News and Newsletter under one chapter "news"

Compliments on the synth solo part and Guitar on eternal pulse by the way, 👌 reminds me of Alexander Brandon's work. lovely melodies

though I don't understand why you would make a Radio edit ánd an Extended edit both around 3 minutes 🤷‍♂️ and have the extended mix very hard to mix in with only an intro... but hey ho,

Thanks a lot for taking the time to check it out and for the detailed feedback! Really appreciate it. 🙏

And I’m glad you enjoyed the synth solo and guitar in Eternal Pulse! 😊

I think you might have landed on my regular website rather than the actual web app, though. 😅

The app has a much simpler interface with five main tabs and a built-in music player, so you can listen directly without going through DistroKid or YouTube.

Here’s the direct link:

That said, your feedback about the website is absolutely valid. I’ve been adding quite a lot of content lately, and simplifying the navigation is definitely something I’ll look into.

And thanks for the feedback on the Extended Mix too. I’ll keep that in mind for future releases!

If you get a chance to check out the actual app, I’d love to hear what you think of the navigation and player.

Thanks again! 🙌

Just a little update: your feedback actually inspired me to completely rework my homepage! 😁 I’ve simplified the layout and navigation to make everything more accessible. So thanks for that! 🙏

And regarding the Extended Mixes: that’s something I’m addressing with Release Wave 2. The new Extended Mixes will be longer and more DJ-friendly, with dedicated intros and outros for easier mixing.

Really appreciate the constructive feedback. It’s exactly what helps me improve both the music and the whole ALIMA experience! 👍
