Got Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) at like 75% discount on Steam. It was in my wishlist, but I never received a mail, so I discovered the discount accidentally.

It's exactly what I like - have fancy loadouts, and just go and shoot. Story is secondary. It's not exactly a breeze of a game, and it has really boring missions, but so far so good!

Bought Red Dead Redemption 2, passed a couple of missions already. Not overly convinced so far, but the scenery is incredible.
As far as this one goes, I haven't done much here ever since. Just haven't got the patience for it. I know it must be incredible, but it's not worth even the 20 EUR I paid for it - for me, personally.

I finished Star Wars Zero Company. Solid, fun, but nothing exceptional on display. Story is average, gameplay just not deep or challenging enough. Still enjoyable 30-40hrs. Have to play on Expert mode. Judging by reception online, we got another one to add to the list of overrated modern entires. 77/100

Here's my full review

I tried playing Assassins Creed - Origins a while back.. I thought the Valhalla map was big... this seems bigger. Think because so much is in the desert as well, it was just too big 🤣. I like Valhalla though despite the size of the map and Nottingham being on the wrong side of the UK 🤣

I generally don't get as much time to play nowadays, so I have my immediate fix games: ARC Raiders, Fortnite, Bubble Bobble, Switch stuff multiplayer.

I recently revisited Red Dead Redemption 2, and I have to say I originally found a lot of it a bit boring. Massive GTA V fan - think it's a masterpiece. As well as RDR - fantastic games.

I think RDR2 is so vast and massive, with so much to do in it, it was a bit aimless for me - not the kind of game you can pick up and do ten mins on, as that's often how long it takes to find yer horse.

However, if you ignore everything else and play it how you want it, the game opens up and you can really carve out your own experience. This is the fourth attempt at playing it. Time is essential, and I try and do one gigantic game every six months to completion (Bloodborne, Zelda ToTK, Dave the Diver etc. etc.)

So I guess I'm saying it's well worth sticking with.

A nice stop gap until Ocarina and GTA VI are released, for me personally.

Video games are a unique category for me: it's possibly the only media where each generation offers something truly advancing and the big AAA titles haven't kicked out the little indie developers.

As for Nintendo - they rarely fuck up. I never thought anything would beat Link to the Past - loved it. Then came Ocarina which was insane. Breath of the Wild was so good, forty years into video gaming, I thought was the greatest game I've ever played, until I played ToTK. Can't wait for Ocarina as a nice stop gap.

As for the PS5 games - the quality is just so high. RDR2 is a PS4 game yet it compares to anything in terms of servicing the narrative. Spectacular.

Yep, that's exactly it! It demands time and patience, precisely the things I don't often have.

Takes some time to get going, every time - you boot the game, find yourself on the map, decide where you want to go and what you want to do, get killed by a wolf/accidentally crash your horse off a mountain, rage quit, repeat.

Add to that constant hunger, lack of energy, hygiene...and of course, multiply that by two because you also have a horse. It feels like a constant chore.

Finished Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019).

Cons:
- Campaign way too short (not interested in multiplayer).
- Some boring missions.
- Would be good to be able to edit loadouts in campaign.
Pros:
- Mechanics fit my style completely.
- Overall fun to play.

I got stuck on that camera section of the mission embassy, need to go back to beat that one day.

Shame coz I was enjoying the game till then.
Yea that's one of my least favorite missions. The only reason I passed it is because I hated it so much.
