Andy Blueman - Collection (Volume I & II) (Artist Album) [Self-release / Bandcamp]

I have decided to rename the recently announced Andy Blueman Classics to Andy Blueman Collection, and the release will also be postponed until 2027.

The reason behind this change is that I have decided to go beyond the original concept of releasing only my classic tracks. Instead, I want this release to represent my complete discography as Andy Blueman — bringing together the music that has defined this project throughout the years.

There is also a more personal reason behind this decision. This could potentially be my last release under the Andy Blueman name, so I feel that it deserves to be something more complete and meaningful than originally planned.

The updated tracklist can be found in the pictures below. It is not final yet, and I may still add additional tracks or make some changes before the release.

More details will follow as the project develops.

I definitely liked quite some Andy Blueman tracks. The first 6 on that tracklist are all pretty amazing.

Too bad the whole uplifting scene kind of starting sounding exactly like this. Not always with the "epicness" from Blueman tunes, but the beat/bass style. Somehow this is what has become the typical bland and template sound now. So I hope there is also room for "less that typical sound" with the other tunes.

Well it’s most important what you think! The honor would be mine Adam. Sol Eterno seems to be a popular one, perhaps melodically a bit simple. Via Memoriae has more going on melodically, might be a nice choice.

16 years of waiting for Away From The Sun 2010 version. My prayers have been heard. It was my number 1 unreleased trance tune for so many years.
Kinda wish the remixes of 7 Cities and Walk The Edge were also finished.

Really? Wow

What's so shocking about that? The only thing shocking here is that Magdelayna remixed Andy's tracks without Andy's permission I assume and made money with them. What Andy did is actually very fair. He could easily ask for 100%, or take down Magdeylana's videos or even sue him. Do you even realise that remixing other artists tracks without permission and sharing them in public is illegal? Making money with them is even worse, you can get sued for doing this without any permission!

I think the whole concept of permanent intellectual property is hogwash, and not at all what the initial copyright act intended.

but he is (unfortunately) right, you do not have the legal right to remix/bootleg a work without artist consent, nor are you allowed to make money from that.

Before putting anything out there, I always ask the artist in question if it’s ok for me to do so.

we had that discussion somewhere else on the forum already, I reckon there's a bit of grey area in case you create a bootleg just to play in your sets - I am not 100% sure but I reckon it not illegal at this point yet since a looot of DJs including big names do that a lot and I fail to believe they ever bother to ask original artists for a permission. So that should be fine (at least it is like that in a real world around us) unless you distribute it without the necessary rights by putting out for free download or - even cheekier - selling for money via bandcamp/patreon/etc

It’s “tolerated” / not considered the hassle most of the time, but it is defacto illegal according to the letter of the law.

hence the proverb: “cheekie bootleg”

I thought 50% was fair - he agreed. My remix of Time To Rest had so many more plays than the original,so it was good exposure for him aswell - my traffic/listeners went and found out his originals aswell.

I asked Andy about "Fallen Souls" but he said, it's not possible unless it's full remake

Fallen Souls is his top original even if its 4-5mins original I'd happily listen to it along with a full remake. I hope this album sells way more than his expectations to push him to remake/finish the rest.

He wrote a while ago that he can't finish these tracks because the projects don't work anymore. He would have to make remakes which he has no interest in because of health and because he doesn't like most of these old tracks.

Fallen Souls is his top original even if its 4-5mins original I'd happily listen to it along with a full remake. I hope this album sells way more than his expectations to push him to remake/finish the rest.

He has damaged ears, tinnitus and hyperacusis. The lack of releases from him is health related. He mentioned this several times in his posts and comments.
