After taking the Netherlands by storm with their extended classics-only DJ sets, five-man trance collective SUPERSTRINGS drop a high-energy 140 bpm take on Prototype's 1999 track 'Soundpiercing' as their debut production. Instantly transporting listeners to early-2000s dance floors with its driving bassline, epic breakdown and electric synth plucks, this highly nostalgic cut is the centerpiece of their set at A State of Trance 2024.

liking the punchy beats, reminds me of recent Ferry productions

5 guys to a project feels rather excessive though, we don't even have three other than Above & Beyond

I’m going to boycot this ‘group’.

Stupid Armada marketing
from what I understood they started on their own, got some hype, until Armada picked em up to exploit the classic trance fever

that may be just a legend to boost their credibility and they were under Armada radar from day 1 though

marketing wise it does smell fishy, too much 'in your face' for the classic trance fans

From what I found: they organized house classics parties a few years back. Now they organize trance parties called Superstrinjgs, and I don’t know how, but they directly host them in the biggest well known clubs in the country.

If you have ‘connections’ I guess that’s possible. Old-man’s kind of favors etc.

come on have some faith they are just soooo passionated and talented so the biggest clubs couldn't resist inviting them, it's definitely not because of who they know and a part of whose business plan they are :)

Could have been worse. Never heard of these guys before. They just came out of nowhere.

Have to agree with Archon here, I like it as well.

I also think it's kinda suspicious that these guys got so popular of a sudden, but it's not the first time something like this happened. I have no reason to complain either if they continue producing in this style since they seem very passionate about late 1990's / early 2000's trance and might inspire others to create more music like this themselves.

It's mostly ok in places. Especially for Armada of today.

Btw, if they ever decide to have an even number of members, I seem to remember Eye Q had another Superstring lying around for them to use. :p

This track sounds like from 2000 and thats the best thing, its also quite catchy, I really like it. The beatwork reminds me Rank1 a little bit.
