Upcoming Melbourne producer, Michael 'Cybernet' Giese debuts on Gestalt Records with a blistering 4 track EP full of neo-noir-esque Goa, progressive trance, leftfield house and deep breakbeat.

Some previews were already posted in the nu old skool thread and I just think this EP is so great that it needs its own thread.) 'Enceladus' and 'Lights on the Eucalyptus' are my favourites: 8/10

Cybernet - Enceladus

Cybernet - Lights on the Eucalyptus

Cybernet - Sun Dancer

Cybernet - Druid

Yeah this spot on. 1 listen through and I enjoyed them all. Sun Dancer probably my favorite.

Perfect blend between Trance and House, with a complete new genre as the outcome, even though its clearly influence from old stuff. 4/4 Retro-future

It def has some perks and cliches within the composition imo, overall. So it doesn't get full points for me. But it's pretty damn good anyways.

I'm LOVING this! I don't know if tracks like this are enough to say that trance has any new life in it as a genre overall (if we can even call it one genre), but the vibe here is unbelievable. It's like it's from an alternate universe where the 90s never ended (and where people kept pressing everything on wax; this is retro right down to the vinyl static in the intro).

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't that what "progressive" was invented? I mean the stuff from the 90's and 2000's had fusion of trance and house.

Its truly refreshing listening to this after lisdtening to some modern commercial tracks. It has warmth, great punch and dynamics. It sounds massive without cliches that modern production stands for. One of the best from this year.
