I wanted to make a 3rd part for a very long time. This little ep has become one of my favourite with very deep chill and relaxing downtempo vibe imbedded in each part

Ofc parts 1 and 2:

One thing you can hear across the 3 tracks is how much cleaner your production is sounding now.
The mixing in part 3 isn't half bad. The kick and bass sit well together and the pad sound is nice and holds everything together. The clap is a little loud though.
Some more organic sounding drum samples would really set this off sonically.

You still need to work on your chord progressions though. This would work if you were going for some sort of avantgarde ambient piece, but for this it sounds disjointed and doesn't really grab me at all.

You should definitely prioritise working on your chord progressions/melodies going forward.

You're getting there, mate! 😁 (y)

Yeah on this one I actually spend a lot of time on mixing and mastering just on the demo which was two 8 bar loops. I noticed on my older song that from fear of clipping I had a lot of elements too quiet and overtaken by basslines or the pads.

I also noticed that most of my songs don't need a strong kick which means sometimes for a quick solution I can just lower the kick a bit and push the limiter and separately master sound a bit higher. I use a base master channel setting on serato studio with limiter on 25%, a bit of saturation and at the end of the mixing stage I use my 3rd effect - ozone for a bit of mastering. I have been doing the same for about an year and I am starting to get the hang of things.

This was originally intended as a typical anjunadeep songs, but I always run a few wacky ideas and if they stick I transform the whole song hence part 1 for example or Spirit Warrior, Nature Is Lit which are probably one of my most simple songs and yet one of the best ones I produced.

I love that the pads don't overtake the song even with the 6 pad layers and a piano sound. Subtle melody in the back just on repeat, arp really work well with the sort of broken pad sound I made. One thing is maybe I introduced the broken sound too early since it need the arp to really shine.

The clap actually interacts with one of the hi hats, by I didn't liked lowering the hi hat volume or changing it. I listened it a lot even before coming with a structure so that hi hat/clap interaction kind of imprinted on me I guess.
