It's not pleasant but it is funny whenever they tag someone in their posts who doesn't use full caps in their name:

YOU ARE GOING TO BE A SUPERFAN AFTERWARDS.I looked it up a while ago. They host trance parties in the Netherlands. So that's pretty cool in itself. Nothing wrong with that. I believe it's always been about 'trance classics'. There's hardly trance in NL so anything is welcome! Why they become 'stars' now, I don't know. It seems like a marketing thing. Maybe Armada gets a percentage or whatever.
There are still 'SUPERSTRINGS' events coming up. I'm going to visit one in December. I mean... I think it's a silly group with undeserved hits and podiums. I mean, ouf of the blue they are 'something' in our scene, and get big stages like ASOT events. Collabs with Ferry and Benno. While they had ZERO productions/hits before that. It's a little strange.
But... they will play trance classics all night. And that's pretty cool. So... yeah... Let's see how it is!

While I've always been picky on track/artist names and making sure we spell them as intended (It's M.I.K.E. not MIKE for example), can we please get back to talking about the track itself!
I feel like the polemic is more around whether Ferry is comfortable with slapping his name next to some gimmick where it should be applauded that he feels comfortable releasing a track that sounds straight out of 1999.
Is it perfect? No.
Is it corny and cheesy, happy euphoric trance-along? Yes, but that was the definition of Dutch Anthem Trance in 1998-1999, deal with it.
Does it sound like what I would imagine trance would evolve into 20 years on from the Golden-era? Mainly yes, although I was always a bigger fan of the Belgium/German darker/harder sound myself. The structure is nowhere near as complex as what we used to have in PVD/Airwave/M.I.K.E. tracks for example. Instead it follows the simpler, straight to the point template that reached mainstream appeal thanks to System F.
At least on my monitors, the EQ sounds rather well balanced, you get the typical Ferry groovy baseline work, barely any annoying white noise, and I'm a sucker for any lead that has stutter/staccato structure.

Tbh, I don’t know why you are debating the asot video. I would be very uncomfortable play there as you are mixing for nobody, you are filmed… it’s awkward.
Those 2 superstrings dudes are awkward too during their deejaying. But that’s no wonder, it’s an awkward setting imo.
I don’t see Ferry more or less enthusiastic. I wouldn’t conclude anything based on that.

True - everyone assumes every Trance DJ is an outgoing confident person,but they arnt. Some people are shy, and not everyone jumps around and up onto the decks with a broad smile like Factor B haha. Ive found it awkward DJing in the events ive done - some people are showmen and some arnt.

Exactly, I just mentioned it based on their body language nothing more. Freezer took my comment out of context and blown out of proportion. It was nothing more than an observation.
Ferry just said in the interview that this is one of his favourites from the album. Stay Awake being the absolute favourite. Well, he really likes the track, no question about it.
