Hey gang,
Newbie joining the Forum from Ireland, have been a Dj now for well over 35 years, 10 of those playing in nightclubs, nowadays still keep my fingers in the pie by doing a two hour Trance show on a radio station. When i began Dj-ing House was king, at least in my city, Cork, we had a club called Sir Henrys which was well known and it ran nights called 'Sweat'

Made a few appearances there on Bank Holiday weekends when they would run 12 hour sessions from 2pm to 2am on Sundays of the holiday weekend, i was mostly playing Techno and a bit of House at my own residency but gradually Trance sneaked it's way onto my platters, fast forward to now, haven't played a Club gig for at least 20 years but still keep up to date with my Trance, a few more posts and i can shamelessly plug the show and stuff... ;)

@Slipmat, as in Mathew Nelson!?
Nowhere near as famous as SL2 member Dj Slipmatt, maybe he added the extra T to avoid confusion with me :ROFLMAO:

Not me unfortunately, when i used to gig up in Dublin, Ireland, back in the early 90s i had a pair of, at that time, expensive Ortofon slipmats and all the Dubs would joke 'here's your man with the flashy slipmats' and the name stuck.

I must dig out some of the old flyers from those days, appearing in Sides DC and a few DREAM 'Raves', so far all i could find is this tattered one.
