Hi all, I was sorting out a few bits and found this. When Cosmithex and I first discussed a collab he sent me this unfinished track which was full of ideas and potential. I took the audio parts and built the release of Endgame from it. You can hear that way more of the bones of the released version are in here. The biggest job I had was recreating the bassline as best I could, as I wanted key changes in it and it was flat (no key changes) in this first version. Then I thought it needed a stronger lead sound based around what Tanel (Cosmithex) had already done in this version. As it progressed I went off the lead I made for the original mix (the portamento mono lead) - I think only due to hearing it too much, so made the new lead for the alternative mix, which I still prefer.
Anyway, I wanted to share this as the release got a lot of love on here : ) - and in case anyone likes this early version and/or finds the evolution of the track interesting. I'm a sucker for all the Underworld early versions/draft/live jams they upload so wanted to get in on that action too.
