This sounds like the blueprint for what would become Anjunadeep style progressive about 5 years later.

One of the first progressive house records according to discogs. It's interesting it has a trance bassline but the chord has a house sound with the piano sound

for 'House' music is 'Chicago House' the fundamental ground.. soulful, sometimes deep, sometimes jazzy, but mostly very black music. Black in the sense that it sounds like its made by black musicians. think of 'Mr Fingers', 'Kerri Chandler', 'Chez Damier' etc etc

when guys in the UK and in Italy started producing 'House' music on their on way, their sound was naturaly very different, so most of the 'House' music without the -black- feeling of 'Chicago' or 'Detroit' was called 'Progressive'

we can also say 'Progressive House' is the European 'House' music

I think they are intertwined. Personally, I could hear this track below in a trance set.

Always thought the vocals worked surprisingly well.

Vibin' with this one. Really simple track actually, but the sound design is just gauranteed to create that hypnotic feeling. With the addition of the piano and small melodic elements it really becomes a great atmos prog track.
