I never post in this section, so I hope I wrote the title in the correct format?
Just ran into this album from a super obscure producer and thought it fit with this forum's musical taste. It has the exact same aesthetic as early to mid-90s trance, which is pretty cool and crazy to hear in 2022.
I don't know who Oshlay is. I've never heard of Nota Bene Records. Some of this tracks sound fairly amateur, especially Subway Station whose lead melody is everyone's first melody, aka this is exactly the melody you come up with if you have zero musical training. But still, the album has its charm and definitely draws influences from old/classic/goa trance and is just nice to hear.
Maybe some of you will find it interesting. I don't know. @Gagi @jetflag
Osaka Train - album opener. Kinda like a combination of Infected Mushroom and Hook Recordings' Chris Cowie.
Subway Station - the first track I heard. Once the "melody" goes away it's actually very nice trance.
Technobeat Groover - ominous dramatic darker track
The second half isn't too interesting if you just want to hear trance, since starting with Homeland the artist experimented more with other genres while still keeping that 90s aesthetic. So this album probably wasn't intended to be a trance album perse.
Spotify Link - this is where you can see the album was released on January 28, 2022.
