The breakdown has some potential but other than that its just a standart copy+paste techno template sound with that overplay pow-wow synth. There are thousands tracks like this already, so why make another one?
Plus it doesnt sound like Push at all...

well in past decade or so Mike's been repeatedly bouncing back and forth with trying make something in whatever the current trending style and switching back to his classic sound, nothing really worked for me though. such inconsistency and that shameful accident with using Pedersen's template a while ago.. that's just a pity to watch trance legends falling to this state

Pedersen template? Can you please explain?
oh well, that probs wasn't really necessary to be mentioned in this thread, as Z Dobrej Woli said it's about a decade old fuckup and we all do mistakes but that was just.. like the lowest point of his career probably. I mean, you're goddamn Mike and you're just barely reworking other guy's template and get it signed to a big label, I would get that from some shady rookie, no idea what was he thinking..

Looks like I missed this back in the day, good to know!

Anyway, looks like MIKE is trying hard to comeback and be on the spotlight again. He sacrifised his Push project for that, changing it into techno alias which is like a dagger to the heart for his fans!!!

I still have faith tho, but most of his new stuff is just boring, templatish techno, with zero innovation. He used to be my number 1 for more than 20 years! Since 1998! Now Im really not sure!
Looks like the next Push track gonna be another 122 bpm template techno track like thousands others around, with zero Push sound in it, so sad to me....

I RESPECT his decision for changing style, but what I dont respect so much is that he is using his main trance alias for it!

this is not 'Techno' in the same meaning like 'Alice Deejay' is not 'Trance' ... you call everything what bores you 'Techno' .. pls make your research, go to labels like Tresor, Planet Rhythm, Non Series, Delsin, PoleGroup, Key Vinyl...

Good label shouts. I'd throw Mutual Rytm and Monnom Black in there as well.

As for the track in the OP, yeah not Techno at all aside from the Arena Bwaaa sound heard in the cheapest of "Techno" slop.

Did not really like it, sounds cheap.

I understand your point...

For me its not techno as well, technically speaking its progressvie trance, but thats how the mainstream people call it, even on Beatport its under techno, as well as tracks from the likes of Cosmic Gate etc....

its the same like the EDM term evolved...

time has changed, you can fight for it or give up, I just gave up
