Brand new Push track, as a part of his Early Works part 2 vinyl. Released also on bandcamp. This track is brand new, previously unreleased.
Pretty solid trippy trancey track, just the way I would expect from this alias. No techno elements this time. Bassline seems to be kinda similar to Extreme Trax - Final Fanstasy, which is a good thing for sure. The drop is rather dissapoitnig, its quite empty, but the melody which follows is super-cool and very trippy. Solid progressive trance journey I would say!

I want to avoid the trap of saying "it's ok but not as good as his early works", "he's using some old synths which is good", "at least it's better than 99% of stuff out there" etc.

This tune is really nothing special. That's it.

Sounds unfinished and empty. He should just look for his old samples and make tracks exactly as they used to sound back in the days instead of this "early works" bullshit

You do realise that this is just another old, unreleased offcut he's dug out from early on in his producing days? Hence the title "The Early Years Part 2".
Well, I guess no, sounds very recent, I gues its a brand new track as a bonus on Early Years compilation.

You can hear from miles away that this is a modern production, way to clean and polished to be something from the 00's

I like two aspects of this track:
- The kick is really cool sounding, been a long time since I heard one like this and it does remind me of just how much Push was innovating with the kick-drum in the late 90s to achieve that space vibe.
- The second melody that kicks in at 3:25 is damn trippy and by far the best element of the song. He should have built the track completely around it. In the older days, Mike would introduce the melody from the very start, but evolve it by the time of the climax and you would enjoy the ride. Here it just comes out of nowhere after 20s of almost dead silence ...
