Pretty cool, he had me at Bulgarian folklore. Using our most iconic song chosen to represent the world into space which still bring a tear or two in my eyes and adding space motifs was pretty magical. Kind of makes me wonder why no one did it earlier.

dont like that generic "psy" kick, bassline generic and drenched it white noise

melody is fine i guess, but its one-dimensional and has like one part to the whole track, as with ALL modern stuff as usual

synth work and drive are spot on as usual, love the Sagan sample and the bulgarian vox.

Interesting thing:

There's quite a story to how Robert Nickson's 'Delyo's Voyage' came into being. Robert: "My agent contacted me about a cultural exchange project she was involved with between the Dutch city of Dordrecht and the Bulgarian city of Varna, which are twin cities. Part of the project was to remix this specific Bulgarian folk song. To be honest when I first heard it I thought it would be impossible. It has a very odd time signature and I couldn’t use the original recording, so I focused on the music part first. Eventually I found someone who could rerecord the vocal and oh boy that changed everything. The entire track just came together after that.

Some parts of the main lead feels like an old classic I can't put my finger on.

Almost feels like two songs that merge together which makes the balance feel out. I like the subtleness vox break and some parts of the build ,however similar to DS theres a lot of white.

The original IS worth it @Recharge, absolutely love the authentic Balkans music. The Nickson's track, however, I don't care much about.

Its a great track, but I prefer the main lead melody over the balkan breakdown. Will give this a pretty solid 7,5/10

Unfortunately I don't think the folk song translates well into a trance track. Beneath the vocals the underlying track is pretty generic.

Nothing exceptional, but it does have some decent and interesting parts. Overall, I'd give it a 7 out of 10 rating.

I really like the vocals, and the melody too. The percussion seems too straight-foward and boring to me but not a deal breaker. Baseline could have brought more energy and percussion more interesting rhythm's. Can enjoy the track none the less.

Not bad. Would have changed a few things but whatever. Vocals work.
