Hi all.What is this`?
Is this the same Enigma State? This sounds a bit more like modern typical steroid trance to me, apart from some fx and sounds.
Just want to put the record flat on the table to avoid any uncertainty.
Yes I've produced a couple 'steroid' Trancers and yes I've made trance that bends to "what's normal" in a trance because "that's what labels want"
For anyone wanting to make trance music and release it, its a very confusing and narrow(minded) scene.
I spent a lot of time trying to get tracks 'signed' to digital labels only to be told "it doesn't fit" or "it sounds too old" so in the end I did bend and produced a couple tracks that "fit in" to be signed. By the end of it, it just wasn't for me and not the direction I wanted to go.
I didn't like the direction of Trance with its focus on the Beatport chart and every track sounding the same, with the 'pumped up, hard hitting, festival put your MF hands up' drops!'
Beatport and the 'steroid' Trance just didn't mean anything to me from the get go of my first releases,....and that's where the Classic Trance came in.
I made a personal choice that I didn't want to make Trance to what is seen as the norm and wanted to make trance how I wanted, the way I loved it,.....the Classic Trance way.
With that came a HEAVY studio investment purchasing classic hardware that brought us the Trance we all know and love - bare in mind I'm just a normal family man and I work a standard 9am - 5pm job as a Data Analyst and the music is somewhat a hobby.
Some time later, by chance I posted a video (kind of bent the rules) to the Trance Classics group of what was an early stage of In My Fantasy and from there it exploded.
For me it was a kind a relief that finally there was someone/a group of people who actually liked what I did and it was refreshing for noone to say "it doesn't fit".
And that's where the project started between myself and the Trance Classics channel.
The last track Into The Nova was signed in mid 2019 and it was released many months later in early 2020 - In fact, 'The Jinx Brothers' remix of that release is also produced by me which I hope shows I'm not a one trick pony. I'm quite partial to other genres.
What I will say is that Darren of Trance Classics would not pursue this if it was all just a farse and ends up becoming steroid Trance.
The latest update is the A side and B side is finalised, 100% complete, mastered and ready, and we have been in discussions in the last week on the options for pressing to vinyl with a pressing company.
I know it has been a few months already from the initial teaser but myself and Darren aren't affiliated with any label and are doing this off our own back without the intervention of a label or 3rd party.
The less "other" sources involved the better.
So in short, yes I've produced as couple steroid Trancers, no I'm not proud of them, but yes this is a genuine authentic track and authentically produced.
Thanks
