Cishynia Ŭspaminaŭ - Rečańka (The Little River)
It is a dialogic folk song between a human and a river ...
“Oh little river, little river,
why are you not full?”
“How could I be full,
flowing evenly between my banks?”
“Yanka was watering his little horse,
Mania was drawing water.”
From the album Mižśviety (In-Between Worlds).

This is a deeply impressive live performance, approaching Heilung when it comes to live storytelling. I didn't think they'd manage to perform Hertan live, but it surpasses the studio version for me!

Wow it's here already! It's been worth the wait for sure, very ambient, haunting and ethereal. Can't wait to hear what the rest of the album is like!

Skáld - Dǫkksalir
Þrjú sinnum hlær marmennillinn,
En margýgjar gala í djúpi.
Þrjú sinnum hlær marmennillinn,
Rán hin dróttning ræðr Ránheimi.
Þrjú sinnum hlær marmennillinn,
En margýgjar gala í djúpi ...
Three times laughs the merman,
And the mermaids shriek in the deep.
Three times laughs the merman,
Rán, the dread queen, rules over Ránheim.
Three times laughs the merman,
And the mermaids shriek in the deep ...
Skáld is a french band, which I have seen live ... a fantastic concert ...
Their last album Ørlǫg was released on Napalm Records, September 25, 2026.
