Classic trance gems without a dedicated 12" release

I'm thinking of tracks that are artistically meaningful and genuinely enjoyable to listen to, yet never received a dedicated 12" vinyl release of their own. Instead, they only appeared on compilation vinyl/CD releases, or perhaps exclusively on an artist CD.

Here are a few examples that come to mind:

DJ Spice – La Vie En Rose (Remix) [1994]

Significantly better than the original, this remix feels like a complete reworking of the track, with almost every section introducing something new and reshaping its musical and structural landscape. It is also the version with the most YouTube views and appears to have directly inspired Accuface's 1995 hard trance classic On Your Own. The track is exclusive to DJ Spice's Amicalement Vôtre EP, which was released only on CD and digitally.

Caunos – Bombay [1995]

Herzsprung 1 is probably the best-known track released under the Caunos alias — a genuine classic that was later reissued on the Hypnotised – A Journey Through German Trance compilation. However, I find its original B-side, The Rhythm, considerably more driving, energetic and satisfying from a trance perspective. Caunos seems to have produced another hidden gem a year later with Bombay. Give it a listen and its place in the development of trance becomes quite apparent. Alongside tracks such as BBE – Seven Days and One Week and The Mackenzie feat. Jessy – Without You (Long Trance Mix) (both from 1995), it belongs to an early wave of productions that pointed towards a newer, more sophisticated and less raw trance sound that would soon become increasingly common in the late 1990s. Bombay only appeared on the Jubilee 25 and Cosmic Cubes – A Cosmic Trance Compilation Vol. III compilations.

Celcius & Candela – Galaxy (Trans Mix) [1994]

A wonderfully spacey, hypnotic and swirling track, with the playful and slightly weird character that can be found in so much mid-90s trance — particularly in German productions of the era. It has a distinctly atmospheric quality while still maintaining enough movement and detail to make repeated listens rewarding. The track appeared on the Dance Opera Trip 2 and Vinyl Trip 1 compilations. It was also released under a different name, Dart – Daywalking, on the Trance From Mars and Trance Vision compilations.

Digital Rev. - Cybernatic Dream (Remix)

This track was featured as one of the highlights in DjRGB's The Best Trance 1994 video, which has amassed nearly 340,000 views. However, while the original Trifasic Mix was indeed released in 1994, the remix featured in the video actually dates from 1995 and was released exclusively on the Energy Trance compilation on CD and cassette. The section between 3:55 and 4:57 is particularly worth highlighting, as this is where the track clearly shifts into another gear, with a noticeably more energetic and driving momentum.
