Yeah I got that mixed up, definetly Sirens of the sea in a different format. Not bad at all.

There is absolutely no doubt that above & beyond was a huge inspiration for this. they are 100% my heroes for what they did a while back. They dont seem to want to keep it alive - i do :p But I must say I dont think its that similar to Sirens of the sea as being mentioned a couple of times. Thanks for the feedback all though <3 all love from over here

Bro,
It's not my fault that most tracks these days are just copy-and-paste jobs with no unique melody.
To me, your track is pure plagiarism, not “inspiration” that's just an excuse for being lazy, nothing more. You thought people wouldn't recognize the plagiarism, and when they did, you started using the convenient term “inspiration.” Embarrassing.

Almost everyone commented here immediately linked it to the classic sound of A&B so I don't think he's hiding anything here as it was deliberately made this way 😅 its clearly inspired by it but calling it plagiarism is bit over the top.

Not just the classic sound (this is not plagiarism), but also the melody.

Yeah, of course, if a lesser-known producer had done that, you’d have immediately called it plagiarism; but bigger names get a free pass.

I defintely dont consider myself a bigger name, so i dont know why you would think i'd get a free pass. its very deliberate. Have you ever thought about the fact that maybe all possibilities have dried out? like if I listen to beatport top 100. there are so many tracks that sound close to each other, big names or not. Are you saying the whole trance scene is the face of plagiarism?

No, I'm saying your song is plagiarism, and there's no doubt about it. Not the whole scene.
There are some great songs these days.

It does remind me a bit of Sirens Of The Sea and the chord progression and note placement are similar in parts, but it’s not a direct copy imo. Definitely inspired by that era though which a lot of Dennis’s track are anyway. Enjoyable as well 🙂
