JOC Tribute Mix
Hey guys, as many of you know, I deal with mental health issues, and last week I had a bit of a blip. One of my coping mechanisms is that I get impulsive and if I settle on an idea, I go all in. One of the few things that helps get me out of a rut is heading to the DJ studio (since I don't have decks at home) and banging out some tunes.
This particular day, I decided to do something BIG. I’ve wanted to do a John O'Callaghan tribute mix for a while, but there were just too many incredible tracks to narrow down. In the mindset I was in, I just thought, “Fuck it, I’m not cutting this short and doing him a disservice.” So I went all out. One hit, straight through! 11 hours!! Yes I'm daft as a brush
John O'Callaghan needs no introduction. Me and my mates have traveled far and wide to see him play, which speaks volumes about the man. He rarely puts a foot wrong in the studio and has put out anthem after anthem. For me, he’s the greatest trance producer of all time. John, you’re an absolute legend—I know you’re a perfectionist (as am I when it comes to DJing), so I really hope I’ve done you justice.
I hope you all enjoy this set. I had an absolute ball putting it together and walked out of the studio feeling so much lighter.
