In the early years of trance, several Microbots tracks appeared on compilation series that have since become legendary, such as Trancemaster, Trancesylvania, and the trance-leaning Techno Trax. In my opinion, the track to know from the formation — the same artists behind Arpeggiators — is Vibrations, which interestingly appeared on the B-side of the A Chip III EP.

It is driving, fast, and energetic, bordering on hard trance, which is notable because I had previously considered the first true manifestation of hard trance to be Final Fantasy’s 1993 Sometimes I See Your Mind EP (featuring Control Your Fantasy, Sometimes, and The Sky Is in Your Hands). Perhaps the only aspect that slightly disrupts the overall flow is that, at brief moments, the track’s melodic cohesion fragments into more mechanical, techno-oriented sections. Nevertheless, it is an extremely powerful, high-energy track, perfectly suited for a classic early rave set.

'Nina Kraviz' said in some interview that: every 'Techno' fan should own at least one record from 'Overdrive'. this statement might reveal how important this label was in its prime time.

to 'Microbots': 'Chip I' is the popular one, the A side 'Cosmic Evolution' was the mega anthem of all big 'Techno' raves, not only in Germany, but in most parts of Europe. 'Chip II' was not so big in any means, but it has the wonderful track 'Freedom' which I love very much. 'Chip III' is ok, but I do have an other favourite on this, its 'Dimension':
