Gaz jumps on whatever is trending and now it's anti-AI movement
You don't seem to see the difference between a google pro max and a thing that steals and rehashes others legit art, do you?Bit off-topic, but AI is the best thing that’s happened in recent years. Not long ago, my car broke down in the middle of the highway, and thanks to AI, I managed to pinpoint the exact issue. Plus, it gave me a step-by-step guide on how to fix it. As someone who knows absolutely nothing about mechanics, I actually fixed it and made it home... How cool is that? It’s also pretty good for legal advice, and honestly, it’s already an indispensable tool whenever you need to fix or build something. Of course, you have to use it wisely and not blindly trust everything it says. Literally just yesterday, I was playing a PC game on a Switch emulator. At one point, I had to spin the analog sticks, which I couldn't do since I didn't have a gamepad on hand, only a keyboard. No matter how I tried to bind it to mouse movements, nothing worked. In the end, I asked AI to write me a Python script to rapidly press WASD clockwise and counterclockwise. It did it in a couple of seconds, solving what seemed like a minor issue. But without AI, I would’ve just given up, because without a controller or actual programming skills, I wouldn't have been able to bypass it . So I will never understand those AI haters.
A simple Google search couldn't write code for me or look at a photo to tell if I connected the wires correctly... And I completely understand the difference between generative AI trained on the work of hundreds of millions of people for creative tasks, and AI capable of solving practical, everyday problems. But AI haters usually hold a strictly absolute stance that completely ignores the context and specific field of useYou don't seem to see the difference between a google pro max and a thing that steals and rehashes others legit art, do you?
which is why I didn't call it just googleA simple Google search couldn't write code for me or look at a photo to tell if I connected the wires correctly...
we're on a music forum so the hate that AI gets here is strictly applied to its damage to the music scene, it's you who just started defending it ignoring the contextBut AI haters usually hold a strictly absolute stance that completely ignores the context and specific field of use
That's exactly why I started with "off-topic." I think it's just trendy right now to hate on AI as a whole, not just for its use in creative fields. That's why I wanted to share a few real life examples showing that AI isn't the absolute evil some people make it out to be. Honestly, I think AI is actually good for the music industry. For instance, you can easily tell Suno AI tracks apart by ear. Producers who are terrified that their music won't be able to compete with AI "creativity" are probably just low quality creators. High quality, authentic material will always be valuedwhich is why I didn't call it just google

It's not just that, if someone can't make a sound better than shit suno quality is not the case. Suno and other slops have learned from the finest material on the scene without the consent of the artists behind those records, this is one of the ultimate corporate scams of the past decade.Producers who are terrified that their music won't be able to compete with AI "creativity" are probably just low quality creators. Fair point, can't argue with that. It is what it isIt's not just that, if someone can't make a sound better than shit suno quality is not the case. It does crank out the occasional gem though.this is one of the ultimate corporate scams of the past decade.
I used to have issues with Emery / the way he conducted himself etc in terms of his rise to the top however he realised the error of his ways and he's spot on with this. The slop bubble needs to burst ASAP.Gaz jumps on whatever is trending and now it's anti-AI movement
did he tell you this personally? or is it the conclusion made from one of his "sincere" longreads? coz every one of those eventually meant to sell you something - a certain product or an ideahowever he realised the error of his ways
he is formally but he won't do anything to change the situation, he will make benefit from it - by hyping his anti-AI label. it will need a massively AI-polluted scene around to stand out, otherwise it would be yet another label, just ran by Gaz.he's spot on with this. The slop bubble needs to burst ASAP.
Well, how is he going to protect the sounds not being copied by AI? Most of the AI stuff gets material from Youtube.
There are algorithms out there that encode songs in a way where additional frequencies are added to make it impossible for the AI to interpret them:Well, how is he going to protect the sounds not being copied by AI? Most of the AI stuff gets material from Youtube.
You need to make sure your video has a small POV text too. Without POV, no superstarJust another thing to get something 'viral' going...it amazes how these average producers get so big...it seems like we live in a time of praising and celebrating mediocrity..
