Few things in life amazes me as much as how fucking shitty trance has become. How the fuck do you go from Back To Cali (Push Remix) 23 years ago to this absolute garbage?
The sad thing is that he and every other modern day trance producer out there old and new is taking inspiration from the commercial crowd and not what they produced in the past and they are clueless about it or they don't think and generalize thinking there is not any value in their old stuff and they don't want to recreate or innovate new tracks with the same energy , emotions and subtly that they had back then that because they are old tracks.

It means this track is low effort and lazy, which I wouldn't normally mind but like you said his discography in the past is incredible and he was one of my biggest influences when I was learning. But I'll bring it back to what this discussion is about, this lazy pos

I do genuinely believe producers suffer burnout if they been doing it for decades...it happens to all forms of music, they make 'classic' tracks in their early career, but can never replicate it...i dont think this is a particularly bad track though.

I don't think there was a single word said about the other guy on the release? I can smell he is somehow related to how mediocre this track is. why is Mike involved? maybe, money. after all he clearly doesn't care about his output anymore so why not make something from it at least.

Ian Storm is not a trance name, he has more of a house, EDM background. But he recently did a fine commercial track with Ron Van Beuken, which was even shared here I think :) So its a really strange combination :) Maybe there is some kind of story behind this track, who knows :)
