That is perhaps a bit harsh. Totally subjective but I did like 'Class of 1999' and Trance-Porter is also not that bad.Absolute dogshit just like everything else he has made for the past 20 years

He is right though, this does sound like dogshit and I did have a listen to class of 1999 those snares are bloody annoyingAbsolute dogshit just like everything else he has made for the past 20 years
Fair enough. He is right though, this does sound like dogshit and I did have a listen to class of 1999 those snares are bloody annoying
The alternative break mix has some potential, but the main problem with both tracks for me is that they sound and feel unfinished. More like demos.
Not sure what you mean by 'unfinished' - the track is what it is - its up to the producer what he feels needs adding or is happy how it is.
I kinda agree here. MIKE's been very hit/miss for me aswell and he's definitely far from what he was, but he's still had some good tracks. There seems to be a lot of "hate" here for anything he puts outyou guys say Push hasnt made owt good for decades - but hes still better than 99% of producers out there haha.
Yeah this was great album, after that it went a little bit downhillThat is perhaps a bit harsh. Totally subjective but I did like 'Class of 1999' and Trance-Porter is also not that bad.
I still like some of his recent tracks, its like hit or miss and he misses quite often. But here and there, its still the good old MIKE. These two are my favourite Push tracks of the last decade. Trancey Illusion Night and syntwave-ish Melodic Trauma. Not sure what you mean by 'unfinished' - the track is what it is - its up to the producer what he feels needs adding or is happy how it is.
The slower version isnt too bad.....you guys say Push hasnt made owt good for decades - but hes still better than 99% of producers out there haha.
must be the worst snare I've heard in a while, idk how someone with his experience could choose such a cheap sounding sample. maybe his ears don't work properly anymore, that would explain a lot of his latter releasesDo you really think that Melodic Trauma is dogshit as well? For me its one of the best synthwave tracks around![]()
Yeah Now & Forver was great, seems like Plastic Boy alias remains the only chance for trance from him after he butchered Push, But well, it been a while since the last one...I was thinking about his recent releases, and actually, it's not all that bad. In 2016, there were a bunch of hits "Swirl Bliss" is a super cool melody, "Circa", "Juno", "Chiffon", "Now & Forever" is a super cool track, probably some old work from those golden days. There were also successful, memorable collaborations with Robert Nickson like "Encounter" and "Tachyon". For the last maybe 3 years, he really hasn't released anything interesting in the trance genre, mostly, these strange techno releases have been coming out. But oh well, I guess that's what he's more interested in right now. He was one of the few who didn't chase trendy sounds. When you saw a new Mike Push release, you could be sure you'd hear his signature sound and recognizable style. But I guess he's burned out after all these years, too
