the tension in the buildup of the breakdown is awesome but the rest is kind a weak compared to it and needs more groove/catchiness imo.

Its a nostalgic track but nothing special, can be good with a remix from someone like You Are My Salvation or Cosmithex

Exactly. When the lead melody starts at 4:07, even since hearing it I always thought that this is what trance was. (I mean of course my opinions have shifted after discovering the 90s trance, but anyway...) But then he adds another layer at 4:35 and from then on it's not quite as good as it could have been, in my opinion. Still love it though!
