One of the stranger, clubbier tracks from L.Vee.
Progressive Aggressive along with the rest of the tracks on disc 2 of Trilogique were likely a new artistic direction Airwave wanted to follow in the mid 2000s. Although he was better known for his more melodic commercial work under Fire & Ice, his collab with Markus Schulz (Angelica), and his harder work as The Green Martian, Airwave dabbled in clubby progressive trance. It's far removed from the classics that made his name and the epic soundscapes we know him for from his post-2010 work, but it's an interesting period in his career and certainly worth revisiting.

Interesting track, but I feel it's a bit more commercial. Somehow reminds me of the likes of Benny Benassi. Still a good track, but we're certainly used to more emotion.

I think it's a rather lousy track. Too commercialized, too electroish.

I don't disagree, but I think that's the whole point of Progressive Aggressive and the rest of the tracks on the second disc of Trilogique. Airwave likely meant to have his second disc be primarily progressive/tech-oriented, in contrast to the other discs. Disc 1 is more like mid-2000s Airwave with his signature melancholic emotions, and Disc 3 features many ambient works from him. Progressive Aggressive is the most electro-ish and commercial track on Disc 2 - it stands out for its bassline pattern. The most "Airwave" track on Disc 2 is Ubiquity, and the least "Airwave" track is either this or Ping Pong, the very last one in the mix.

You're right. Ubiquity sounds like a Lolo track. My fav from CD2 is actually Close Encounters - I love those bass samples in the "breakdown/climax", though I should really take another look on Trilogique (besides the CD3).
