Was expecting a huge track, and in fact, its a very good track, more Temple One-ish sounding i would say 7/10

Such tunes can never get higher than 5/10 simply because it’s 100% template. Zero creativity or freshness. Even if the melodies are nice. It’s boring.

Sneijder did a decent effort, to make something that stands out, and gets the same rate from you. That’s what I just can’t understand.

Lets extend on it a little. There’s endless hours of work in a track like LJR’s opening track on Movement. Freshness like hell, even if it’s not entirely your taste. How can you rate it lower than this template track? It’s made in a day probably. While jetflag invests weeks into his track. There’s way more interesting details going on. The sounds are there specifically for that track. A next release will take time again with once again a full new set of sounds and ideas.

(Not kissing ass. Just an example).

In the mean time, these template guys just re-do the exact same idea over and over. And they 10.000x more fans… somehow.

I am seriously trying to ignore all these rates you give Freezer, but sometimes I can’t help myself. Sorry.

freezzer has listened to trance since early 2000s but his taste hasnt outgrown liking these same generic uplifters. A mystery of grand schemes. its not about liking different styes, its about supporting repeated formulas and genericness year after year.

Every artist has their own unique style and its not a steroid or some noisy unlistenable track. Rather it's got a pretty gentle and nice melody more on a Temple one side as Freezer said. Some of you are very choosy and will not like 90-95% of the current releases as it's not par with the productions from 2000-2007,08. Time has changed so the music has also changed. Some very few current producers are producing some old school sounds and productions like 15-20 years before which gets much appreciation here and I also love those productions. While some legend producers who came back after long time like ReLocate and few are producing like current trance scene which gets unnoticed . I also don't like most of the current releases but still I enjoy tracks which has atleast got a good melody and I see Freezer has also got the same taste ,most of the times he also looks for a good melody and rate according to it. Just like you and few others who don't want these kind of tracks on this forum many will like this track though they won't comment or rate as in this forum 90% are silent listeners. Every person has got different taste

I dont mind how the track has been made, how long did it takes etc...the final track, final melody is what matters to me.
Of course if it would a total rip-of or a template melody thats used in more tracks I would take it in considerations.
But sorry mate, I simply believe in Dennis, Alex and Joe. They would never use a template. Its surely sounds like Temple One tracks, but this is his own soundbank, I dont see anything wrong about it.

Why would I rate track 10/10 if its well done, if the producer spend 100 hours on it and used special kungfu technique on it. If I simply dont enjoy it and not having a fun time when listening to it, I will never give a high rating just for the reason he spend hundreds of hours on the production.

Universal Nation has been made in 3 hours straight. Is that the reason to give 3/10??

The guy never liked anything, except a few oldschool tracks here. He si bashing everyone and making a stupid selfish statements. What I dont understand is the whole forum stand behind him. He is constantly insulting other users taste. He should have been banned years ago, the same as that guy "trancedanne".

Same I will also leave if this stupid idea of what kind of uplifting trance should be posted gets discussed. I listen to several releases then I post few here which takes some time if it's good enough to post, but they have got a habit of bashing and attacking users coz the track is not of his taste. Instead one can write what he liked or disliked about the track , I have seen Daysleepers comments which he gives in detail about the tracks which is good and producers also takes suggestions so you can write the same instead of bashing posters and users and you have done this few times to me and freezer and some others for posting upliftings of not his taste. You are not always right mate.

You are being way too overdramatic. nobody has said anything about banning "uplifting trance".

Atleast im not attacking anyones charachter. I just question some peoples taste's here and there. You have to grow thicker skin man!

I'm sorry but I can't agree with any of this. Being "choosy" isn't a bad thing, it just means that for one reason or another, our standards for a "good" or "exciting" track have changed/risen. In my personal case, it's just exposure to various music in general, and I've watched some very interesting things happen in the scape of electronic (and not only) music. More smaller artists taking risks and being more experimental with their sound /approach.

And this brings me to Uplifting Trance. Yes, I agree, the times have changed, and music with it. But what has failed to change for about 10 years now, it's the same sounds, same approach, same arrangements... Just swap the artist names out and make the mastering better / shittier and I couldn't tell a difference. But I feel like this is just a flaw/limitation of the subgenre. I personally feel like Uplifting has just reached a creative brick wall as a genre, maybe because people keep settling for the absolute minimum (good melody) and demand no more, or maybe the genre just can't be taken anywhere it hasn't before (without losing your core audience anyway).

and now the artists are either stuck with recycling the same sound like a perpetual slave factory to sustain their audience, or retire / change their sound due to burnout probably..

Anyway, sorry for the rant, on topic - the track is the typical uplifter I was talking about. Same pluck sounds and white noise mastering and an arrangement that has been done countless times.

Well, you do post 3-4 tracks from mainstream labels every second day. You and 3-4 other people do this. Its not hard to tell which one of you it is. Its the force pushing of this constantly thats annoying. Im not saying that I can decide any of this, im not, and I dont want to.The staff wouldnt let a single user, esp me make any decisions, im just asking for a poll where we vote on restricting or regulate the amount of generic/mainstream/steroid/pop trance. If most people vote yes on this its just democracy.

Well, you do post 3-4 tracks from mainstream labels every second day. You and 3-4 other people do this. Its not hard to tell which one of you it is. Every second day lol come on , I created thread on June 24 after that I posted track on July 15 , which is nearly after 20 days. I have already limited myself coming to this forum which is good for people like you I think. You have your own taste that's why your thinking is other than the ones who are more into upliftings.
