Alphazone (Alexander Zwarg & Arne Reichelt) is my favourite trance duo without a doubt, so I decided to create this thread in order to share my favourites with you and discover some new stuff.

They made so many gems that I'm still discovering some nowadays. I can listen to their stuff all day long! Almost every day I see people sharing "The Legacy" remix as their favourite in facebook trance groups and I always think that there are so many tunes from them which are left unnoticed! It's a fantastic tune no doubt, especially as it has opened the world of Alphazone for me, but after listening to most of their music I didn't even include it in my top 5 😅

Share your top tracks as well, I'm looking forward to see your tastes!

As always, my rating logic is "the more shivers I have from the track, the closer it is to the first place" 😁

Time and Space (Alphazone remix) was the first track by them that I heard.
Flashback and its million remixes were also great. The original is superb, but there's something to be said about the edgy, highly-energetic Nish remix. IMO the Cloudchaser remix has the best melody and breakbeats section in the breakdown. It's softer than the original mix and more uplifting. The Dave Joy remix that you mentioned is more like typical early-2000s hard trance apt for clubs. Ralph Novell's version is the dreamiest.
It's interesting that a Japanese producer remixed Alphazone, and that Alphazone remixed one of his tracks (Sagittarius). I wonder how that happened.

Kings of "hardlifting", no doubt! Loving most of their adrenaline-pumped riffs and epic melodies, typical acidic backgrounds (or which synthetizer did that sound?), exciting and thrilling breakdowns (usually with nice breakbeats, so you do not loose "drive"), endless energy... Practically no one came close to this kind of sound, maybe only Pierre Pienaar/P.H.A.T.T. with his cca mid-00's productions. Today's wannabe hard 138 sound is kinda "meh" in comparison with Alphazone sound.

Anyway, you missed some of my personal gems:
DJ U-Hey & Minagawa - Survivor (Alphazone Remix), with over the top melody, maybe a little bit cheesy, but surely very nicely "curly", btw. also a remix of Japanese production (listen here)
JS Ten - Spiritualized (Basswizzards Remix), with brutal reverse bass which goes in contrast with nice uplifting melody (listen here)
Cloudchaser - Aerodynamic (Alphazone Remix), with very very very cool breakbeat intro (listen here)
Callisto - Ways (Geoffrey Whiteman Remix), with pounding hard kick and again very nice "play" on the melody (listen here)

Anyway, I like Nish - Sagittarius (Alphazone Remix) the most of all.

PS: Agreed on Dave Joy Remix of Flashback, that is a huge one, its kick is unbelievable, ideal for shuffling, BK - Revolution agreed too, and maybe Escade - Shuffle Royal and Digital Pressure - Aftershock are also slightly better in Original Mixes than in Alphazone Remixes.

PS2: Saltwater - The Legacy (Alphazone Remix) does not excite me much, as it is too overplayed now. But I get it, it is probably the most un-hard-trancey Alphazone track, so it is "safe" even in current trance sets. And it has that nice Push-like riff.

I had completely forgotten about this track. Yeah, Alphazone's remix of Spiritualized is phenomenal .One of their better and more unique tracks IMO.
If you like Alphazone and P.H.A.T.T., you would most likely enjoy Technikal's productions from ~2006-2010.
