Anyone know the vox patch here? I've hear it a lot in 90s trance

Any clue what this original patch was for the vocal/stab thing? Crops up in so much in a bunch of tracks. I'd really like to know! Thanks

Have you see the Synplant AI software?. You can feed it samples and it will create the exact sound for you. Not sure if this will help you, but pretty amazing to see none the less! I time stamped where he begins demoing the capabilities

Binary Finary told me they used only a Yamaha W7 workstation synth to make the original 1998 by them.

if the sound you mean is also on their original then it came from that. My hunch is it might be available in original form on a whole lot of mid 90’s pcm also known as s+s synths. The mix you linked isn’t the original tho so can’t be sure exactly but itl be on a mid 90s or slightly later 90s synth, probably available in module form also.

To be honest it would be quite simple to make on a vst, primarily something like xpand 2 but also many others. I did a remix for my own purposes, it’s on this forum. I changed the vox a little but I believe it was xpand 2 I used for some vox type sounds. It’s finished apart from I need to eq it better and reduce reverb. . It’s a few years old.

Yeah, it's definitely the W7.
One of the preset choir patches with a plucky envelope on the filter to give it that stab sound.

There's probably an emulator or sound bank around somewhere online.
Failing that, you could just sample it as a one shot from the beginning of the original and re-pitch it:

Saw this the other day. Definitely looks interesting. It’s half price currently but not sure till when.
