Hey, I've been working on a new track for a while now. I think it has a lot of potential. Recently, I've been fine-tuning the breakdown and build drop. Please have a listen. I'd like to know where else I can improve to make the whole thing sound more professional.

I included a vocal sample "trance fix" in this track. I hope no one has any objections.

I'm sure there is still a lot to improve, but it's awesome. Enjoy!

In terms of mixing I’d say the track sounds fine, but I’m not listening on Profi headphones atm so take that with a pinch of salt.

the only thing I would tweak mix wise is the choir pad, maybe turn that down a few db, it’s rather dominant.

One other thing I thought was that the breakdown is….very long. Don’t get me wrong, the sounds you use incl vocal samples are catching and beautiful..it’s just that I can hold up my hands only for so long haha

I would recommend shortening it/ build up quicker. You seem to be going for a real old school trance sound which is cool, but if you listen to the oldies carefully you’ll notice that the breakdowns usually wherent that long and under 2 minutes.

Hope this helps

great work so far!

Hey, thanks for the comment. I'll do as you suggest, I also had the impression that the pads are too dominant. It's good to hear it from someone else, then it's certain. As for the length, I'll analyze some gems from the classics and look for something inspiring. For me, building tension is the most important thing, probably that's why I decided on such a long section, although it crossed my mind that it might be excessive. Again, thanks for confirming. I'll cut 32 beats each from the breakdown and build-up, which will shorten it by 1 minute without losing anything🙏

Some nice ideas in here.
I really like the chord progression and the sounds you've used.

Hard to give any more advice from just a breakdown really, but sounds promising so far!

Jest tu kilka fajnych pomysłów.
Bardzo podoba mi się progresja akordów i użyte przez Ciebie dźwięki.

Trudno udzielić więcej porad na podstawie samej analizy, ale na razie brzmi obiecująco!
It's good to hear that the direction is promising. I'm spending a lot of time on selecting the sound of the synthesizer. It's a very challenging task; on one hand, the classic saw wave sound is fantastic, but on the other hand, copying everything that's already been done takes away all the fun and joy from the process. I want to bring some life to the main riff. I want to layer the leads with contrasting waves that will evolve and change timbre, and essentially the whole sound, as the progression goes on. Nowadays, most tracks maintain the character of the main riff throughout the entire progression, which is nice but very static. I realize that we are at a stage in the development of trance music where mainstream solutions are just safe, and everything else hasn't stood the test, but I believe in experimenting. I also think that the simplest, most minimalist trance is reserved for the best, where there's no room for mistakes—I'll try that in a few years. Today, I'm holding back from overloading and overcomplicating tracks, but I'm leaving some space for fun. Thanks for your tips on the forum; I'm slowly starting to understand and implement them.
