ATB and Nu Aspect look to expand on their impressive career catalogues, the two artists come together for the first time to deliver their eagerly anticipated debut collaboration, 'Run'. A deep, melodic offering featuring vocals from up-and-coming vocalist Orem, 'Run' is everything we could have hoped for and more from the meeting of these musical masterminds, who combine expert production techniques, Balearic soundscapes and elegant vocals across the euphoric three-minute cut.

lol at that 9PM reference on the drop :)

other than that it's a quality dance/electro pop tune, you can find a couple of such tracks released each week

this pseudo-classic style has definitely become the new big thing

I kind of feel torned since I am such a huge fan of ATB, but he moved away from trance at least 10 years ago. Instrumental version will be interesting.

I think you are right. And this is the second one from ATB in that style.

I'm in two minds about this. On the one hand, I think the vocals don't really fit earlier in the track, but at around the 3 minute mark (in the sample posted), they go quite well with the instrumental. Though the 9PM / Don't Stop hints are nice, the vocals are not quite there. I'd prefer a dub mix.

I think Trilogy in 2007 was the last one worth mentioning

For a full album of mostly trance, sure, let's say Trilogy. Even so, ATB has never been 100 percent trance either. The First Tones (off of '99's Movin Melodies), Timeless (Two Worlds), Get High (Dedicated), are just a couple of examples. Even 9AM off of the 2CD version of Trilogy, since you mentioned it.

In the same vein as the above, Future Memories (2009) had the excellent Horizon and the title track, while Distant Earth (2011) had Vice Versa (with Armin) and Moments in Peace.

I would guess the split opinion when it comes to Future Memories (and later albums) might be due to Behind. Though not trance, it did spawn the EDX Ibiza Sunrise Mix, which I think is better than the original, so there's that.

The instrumental certainly has that late 90s Ibiza by the beach allure we all grew up listening from Andre. Overall, it's a good effort and making a pure ATB track with an updated sound, I can see it getting a lot of airplay at summer beach events. Not keen on the vocals, but that's simply because I always associate Tiff Lacey with ATB and nothing else comes even close.
