It does sound pretty oldschool man. Melody isn't really for me, but not bad either. The foundation of drums, bass and attacking synthy stuff is really nice though. Would definitely like to hear more tracks in this style from you.

It sounds old/er its just that the music isnt that good (unfortunaly). It sounds dated for the wrong reasons so to speak.

Not bad at all. I personally like it. Reminds me of DJ Darroo - he makes oldschool and hard trance.

For reference one of my favourite songs from him:

Damn good attempt mate. Good old virus hey? I used to absolutely Lust after them. Il try and buy one one day.

The sounds in this track are often very good. I’d say the melody is fine, not bad but coukd extend an aspect of the sound. . All together a nice rounded track that certainly nails the old school slightly harder trance vibe. That kind of early Euphoria compilation feel.
Love to hear more of your stuff so will check your page. I already follow you on soundcloud. There’s a lot of tallent there.

With perhaps a little more fx like delay and reverb on the melody sound (I’m sure you kept delay minimal for a reason though) this track here could be an absolute Banger, no problem. For example, (just my opinion) although the melody is good it comes across as a bit standard because it doesn’t reach ultra terrific highs emotionally . This could potentially be achieved through varying parts occasionally and especially through varying the depth of the sound more as it goes along. For example so that the tones open up more and feel more present, like it’s more in the foreground/forefront. As it is it’s not bad but could be (imho) elevated to euphoric heights with work. Reverb and delay lengthening and depth could help but maybe the melody points I’m making are just personal preference. Or perhaps it would muddy up the mix too much. Can possibly be achieved with eq-ing correctly I’d imagine. Making sure there’s minimal frequency clashing so that sounds have their space. Easier said than done. I’ve recently used Focusrite reveal to sidechain out clashing frequencies. It does work but I only so far used it on one song. It’s very quick and easy tho.

Thers a lovely tight sounding mid tone sound I love. Virus at its best I’d say. Comes in at 1.36. Reminds me a little of an old track called Loneliness.

Just to mention the drums… They are epic mate.
