BT feat. Tori Amos - Blue Skies [1996]

Just remembered I needed to post this, and I'm specifically going to link to PvD's "Blauer Himmel" Remix. It's (IMO) utter perfection: wonderful vocal, fantastic energy build, lovely acid line. As far as I'm aware it's not available to purchase digitally, which is a shame (I bought a CD copy from Discogs to rip, to complement the vinyl version I bought while back at uni in '96!)

This was about the peak of BT's early sound. I'm pretty sure he single-handedly invented what I call the "trance epic" - long, ten+ minute tracks with beatless intros, clear structured movements that take their time to build, and big climaxes that will often repeat themselves. It became a pretty overdone style later, but I've never heard of anyone doing anything like it before him.
