Not sure what you mean specifically about trance in this context (mostly trance? 80 percent of the comp?). As far as I remember, Trance Europe Express 4 had some breaks in there too.

I'll go with the obvious: Northern Exposure.

Lost Language's first Exhibition CD (maybe even Exhibition II)

The first few from In Trance We Trust maybe? Potentially Distance To Goa?

Edit: derped out and forgot about Dragonfly's Order Odonata. First one goes back to 1994, and the bulk of the releases were from that period. They released two new ones in 2019 and 2023, but that's outside your time frame.

Before the ASOT compilations, Armin had another compilation series on United Recordings (for which I couldn't find an official name? Discogs lists them as the "Armin van Buuren Series" so I'll stick with that). I got all four of them on CD for my 20th birthday and they were definitely worth the money.
