I couldn't decide if I wanted to make the song 4/4 or breakbeat so I decide to mix it up. Intro and first verse are 4/4 then into the drop it goes into breakbeat then verse 2 is 4/4 and towards the end gradually switches to breakbeat into the outro. I am still not sure how the pace looks to others and if it's ok. I think I am going to do a breakbeat version too since it sounds really good as a breakbeat.

Feedback comments entered as im playing the track through.

Great start with the 4/4 deffo (nice kick)
Nice mid bass sound. Interesting envelope to it, how did you make the sound? Love it! decent perc. Nice higher sound /pad arriving.

This is good mate. ( i think certain chords clash a bit tho)

Nice vocals. Nice piano.

Great when the breakbeat enters. This is a Gooooooood track dude! Great arrangement.

4/4 comes back in at the right point, might want to enter the volume of the kick gradually ( but not too gradually). Just because its a different beat format. (Just a thought).

Nice around 4.06 when breakbeat enters again.

What can I say. Apart from the (imo) chords clashing on the pad like sounds nearer the beginning or early in 2nd section. I think you’ve Nailed It!

Yeah the bass is a sample, but I played a bit with making it into bassline and subbase making minor tweaks. I am really getting used to working with samples which might help me on my remixing which I still think I suck.

You are probably right lately on the chords I use 2/3 different chord progression at the same time with volume automation to make them pop up or pipe down.

Some nice idea and sounds in there. Got that oldschool piano house vibe to it.

Definately some chord clashes in there though.
Seems to end a bit abruptly as well, would have liked to hear the breaks part at the end extended a bit.

Like a needed an excuse to make a song longer 😊. I happily added 2 more phrases with breakbeat at the end, lately I've been practically forcing myself with a limit around 5-6 min or less. Piano seems to be playing for a bit too long now, but will cross that bridge when we have too. I removed one of the chord progression, hopefully it helped with the clashing. To be honest I can't hear it, but I trust you both as more experienced producers. I updated the version.
