Drugs and Dance music.

What percentage of people in decent clubs or events do you think do drugs like ecstasy etc or whatever the current thing is?

Perhaps this culture started with acid house parties in the 1980s but I've never been attracted to doing drugs at clubs or raves etc. Haven’t even been interested in doing drugs since my teens in the 1990s as I don't feel it enhances anything properly and having responsibilities and particularly responsibility to my ‘self’ is far more important. The risks make it seem so unwise (in my opinion) but so many adults do them.
Yes perhaps some have it to help them dance more but at the last trance event a yr ago i danced solid for around 6 hours with breaks because of my passion for trance.

And why ‘did or ‘does’ dance music attract drugs? The topic just doesn’t seem to be talked about these days

I tried it many years ago, an all that I can answer you: music and drug isnt really have connected at all. Good music is good music, drug is drug. Although drug is change the way you listen, not enhances music. It's just a lie. All you need to enhance your music is good/expensive speakers or headphones. Plus, you need to listen music on the right mood.

for me taking drugs to make yourself feel "good" or "better" at a rave or concert sort of defeats the purpose of going there.

If the effect of MDMA or weed or what have you works the same on my couch at home i can save half of my bankaccount on tickets, fuel/transport etc.
