Call me whatever you want
@william byrne do you never find yourself a bit disappointed with Trance productions in the scene nowadays, like some of the edge and creativity has been lost?
Most people here in the forum have a kind of die hard connection with Trance and personally I find it hard to find tracks that capture something the old ones did well, so its a natural to see the expectations and comments here . This Ferry track is good but misses something fundamental. Hmmm, maybe I just got old, but maybe you'd agree with what im getting at? The venting and criticisms are legitimate for us who've been following the scene for decades.
Yeah I do man. I dont listen to them tho and move one to ones I like. Classic trance is more my bag. Especially tunes from the early 2000's. That's when I first started listening. Gatecrasher digital was a big one. I'm only having the laugh with you guys with the other comments by the way haha@william byrne do you never find yourself a bit disappointed with Trance productions in the scene nowadays, like some of the edge and creativity has been lost?

Yeh 100% @Magdelayna, Ferry is still going a good job for sure. I really liked Slice of Heaven and Anahera. I feel like im more susceptible to appreciate those tracks though as I kind of forced myself to lower my standards/expectations for modern releases. I still enjoy them, but wouldn't put them in a top 2000 list or something. As you say its much better than everything else, just part of me always hoping for the real deal. The Enigma State track could deliver on that I wonder?
Yeah the Enigma State track is a wonderful throwback.
I'm a cliche rapped in a gouryella tuneIts the obvious cliche haha
Ferry doesn't really do it for me any more. His tunes have mostly been drifting into the "WTF Nu-Armin" category in this past year or two. Back in the day, I'd hear any of his tunes on the radio or on a CD, and would be left as damp as a Canterbury cellar. These days, I'm a lot older, busier and I don't get moist as easy any more. Plus now there's all the rules, restrictions, laws, ethical guidelines.
Hearing this track in a mix made a few hairs stick up on my legs, and there was a spot of moisture similar to how Paul Oakenfold feels when handed another bottle of tequila during a gig. There's something warm and sexual in there, and I realise how much I needed it, once I'd had it.
It might be because most of the tunes out these days are instantly forgettable. It might not.
That would be shocking. I'm 99% sure it wont.Even in my cynical mind I am still expecting the appearance of some EDM snare risers to appear 10 seconds after the sample we heard ends
