If it's not a musical marvel,
Dont think its trance
That's when the argument breaks down, because there's no answer that makes sense.??? what is it then, what genre?
You're saying this because I posted Big Sky in the pop trance thread. If I hadn't, would you be making the same argument?"Pop-trance" is an oxymoron.
This.Dont think its trance. Even lasgo is more trance than this
Just because you add vocals that doesn't mean it suddenly stops being trance. You could make the same argument about Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun or Jam & Spoon - Right in the Night.Well once you add on the big cheesy sing along vocal it ceases to be trance. It becomes a clubland track aimed at the commercial market.
Such tracks were not called trance when the genre was born and don't see why you'd call it now. It's kind of like what Armin plays on ASOT now, he calls it trance but it's mainly clubland music aimed at the commercial market.
It's not just the presence of vocals but the type of vocal. This is a big crowd sing along pop vocal. The originals of Right in the night and Southern Sun are in fact club tracks but not as cheesy as this.Just because you add vocals that doesn't mean it suddenly stops being trance. You could make the same argument about Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun or Jam & Spoon - Right in the Night.
Trance belongs to club music and it is electronic dance music, so not sure why a track being clubby suddenly makes it non trance.
Its exactly what it does. It become less trance, but theres degrees in hellJust because you add vocals that doesn't mean it suddenly stops being trance. You could make the same argument about Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun or Jam & Spoon - Right in the Night.
