Whereas my old style was to have like five melodies and some pads and arps, trying to mix them together but let them be quite static - its here more or less one basic chord melody and some LFOs

I'd disagree here. These drums make the song distinguishable from other techno tracks

Yeah it’s a personal/taste thingy from my part. Nothing wrong with it from an artistic standpoint
