yeah one element I totally miss in the nowadays progressive tracks (actually it's stopped being a regular thing pretty soon, after 2007/08 or so) is these super-playful melodic plucks that make you wanna follow the melodies in details and eventually get you lost in the constant changes and variations to the melody that somehow don't break its consistency. truly a lost producing technique by now
