While Moby and this songs were never really considered trance, I think he had influenced a lot of 90's trance producers and dance music in general. I read the full story behind the song and his early years as a dj in his autobiography. Really interesting read, 90s sure were crazy chaotic times. One of the samples in the song cost them 50k which is a crazy amount and one of the biggest examples that no one cares if you steal/sample music unless the songs makes it big which is what happened.

This is the ultimate NO.1 track of my very good friend from hometown.. I was really annoyed to hear it so many times with him back in the days.. so I never played 'GO' for myself.

There are new versions released every year. the latest is from 'Anfisa Letyago'.. sincerely I will not give a try.

Here is Moby - Go at 'Top Of The Pops', great performance, good times:

Epic.

Twin Peaks theme! I read he was drawn to the TV show and music which lead to this.

Twin Peaks is great, and, with it's spooky, ethereal atmosphere, definitely an influence for electronic musicians in the early 90s, in a similar way to Bladerunner.

Well worth watching if you're into unconventional TV/films (written/directed by David Lynch, which says it all). The 1992 series ended with one of the central characters saying she would be seen again in 25 years, and sure enough, in 2017 it returned for a third series.

Dodgiest TV series I ever watched or stuck with. To this day I still dont understand some it. I had to read up on it afterwards lol

I think you will enjoy the original version too. A lot of people don't know that the TP theme was added later. This is the original version before that, strangly kind of harder to find:

There are so many remixes of this track and many nice ones. As mentioned above there is a Jam & Spoon mix which is super chill and dope. The Arpathoski Mix however also nice, as is the Subliminal Mix (best one?). I am still searching for an oldschool ambient mix....

Yeah the song was huge back then. The one he played most in NY clubs where he dj-ed was the rainforest mix which is was one of the most popular mixes back than.

Special one. Its amazing how just two or three notes on the synth can give off such emotion, and become so iconic.

Agreed, I just wanted to say that the Subliminal Remix is by far the best one. I would like to see an extended version of it. The track has so much positive energy. It's enchanting and magical.
