It's not the producers I miss but the way the tracks sounded and the way they made tracks back in the golden days of trance.
that's very true, quite some older days guys are back recently but their new tracks are rather meh..

I recently spoke to Jonathan he is now working for myloops and he intends to not come back to producing because he now works for myloops.

If it's just one, mine's already been mentioned before: Vincent De Moor.

If it'd have to be a different producer, maybe Man With No Name? He dropped Candyfloss Corona a couple of years ago - very much in the same vein as Vice Versa from back in 2014, which I really liked - but hasn't said a word since. At least not that I know of.

As for more recent / 'modern' names, mister Absolute Darkness himself, Angry Man. The A side of his Fluoro debut, After Dawn, is still in heavy rotation in my playlists a decade later (can't believe it's been that long).

To be fair to the topic - I will mention some names though.

Mark Spoon, Robert Miles, Philippe Van Mullem, Steffen Britzke.

Working for implies working for someone else 😉
Not necessarily, it just means you either operate a machine and take on a task (whether it physical or mental) and finish it. ;) You can be a sole trader and do work just by yourself.

yes but then you work for yourself. not for the company. The company is not the thing that employs you (to work for it) as opposed to say: a boss that hired you :)

Dennis Waakop Reijers and Hans Willem Mallon, the two masterminds and ghostproducers of DJ Tiesto from 1998 till spring 2004.

On Dennis list of tracks he has worked for Tijs, you can see the amount of work he had done for ISOS. He was the magic behind ISOS :)

After that Hans left and from then on they couldn't use the alias DJ TIesto for legal reasons and that's why it became just TIesto. And that's why there was a big gap without any new release from Tiesto for more than ayear, all of a sudden. Tijs was never inside the studio much. But for sure he had/has the best 'ears' in the industry.

If you're newbie and want to dive into all this backstory and drama, 99% Hans had a fake profil on trance. nu forum, and he spoiled tons of inside stories from their days producing for TIesto while he was traveling around the world. At some point at the end, Rank1 replied there and asked FakeHansProfilε how the hell he knows such detalis about a supposed collaboration of Tijs with his for Kamaya Painters which was a secret etc lol

This is the topic: Tiesto's Engineer In 2000 at Trance.nu forums

Sadly you can't browse it, but I have saved some text on my drives (sadly the pictures are lost). Let me know if you want me to paste it here lol.

Lol, he writes it publicly nowadays :D

My name is Hans Willem Mallon, working in the music industry since the early 90ties. Mainly as a composer, producer and keyboard player in my studio, good news is that these days you won't need a big studio any more like I had in the beginning of my musical Journey.

In the year 1997 I met Tijs Verwest (Tiesto) as a friend in my studio and fair enough he had a full agenda for playing as a DJ, we both decide that my studio would be the place to create the tracks to be coming.

We started in the shadow, but strongly after we made a remix 'Silence - Delerium' it was the kick-start of a big journey, I worked together with a genius sound engineer producer, this daily working effort results in many early Tiesto mainstream hits, like' Traffic, Lethal Industry, Adagio for Strings, Love comes again, Flight 643, Just Be, and many more tracks on from my point of view, still 2 very classical albums In my memory and Just B

Greetings Hans Willem Mallon

So yeah, these two guys together, they brought us so much great music and memories.

Galen Behr. I remember when I was still somewhat new to the trance genre discovering his music on the ASOT 2006 year mix. Carabella, Shift Of The Ages, In The End(under his Ave Mea guise) his work under Passiva etc. Although he did move away from the uplifting sound toward the end of his career opting for a more Progressive/Progressive House style, I still quite enjoyed his releases. He then just vanished in 2010. I still wonder what happened to him.

He makes stuff like this and this is a production by him. You can see it in the credits under the alias Bearclvw.
