While i like narels approach to trance, the sound design and choice of inatruemnts in his tracks i almost always feel the rhythms doesnt flow in a more smooth/complex/interesting way. Its hard to describe. Everything hits on beat and for me theres more to desire. It feels a little unnatural somehow, like the way the tracks carry rhemselves rhytmically. Like its a bit stiff and mechanical

Will give these a chance once they come out. First impression is that I would like more pace, at least up 6 BPM or more.

Though it’s spoken about in the BP release notes there’s no Jordan Gill remix of either of these.
‘Six Moves Sideways’ is definitely a nod to Platipus records and Coredata. This one took me f’ ing ages to get right.

‘Ex Acid Machina’ resulted from a session messing around with the Behringer TD-3 and Roland JP-8000. The acid is two TD-3 recordings with live automation (you can’t do it on TD-3 with midi cc), one with distortion and one clean. The distorted at first, then the clean one, then both after the JP bendy bits. JP clocked by DAW and the LFO, filter and portamento amount is all live edits during the recording.
I overdubbed the other synths onto these live recording afterwards. Some of the hardware fun …..

Sounds good but not for me unfortunately. Love the break at Six Moves Sideways though, that's some pretty sweet lush stuff.

No full uploaded mixes yet that I could find (which is weird since it came out yesterday, but maybe JOOF's policy is a bit different), so these will have to suffice:

No idea why no full versions from J00F, maybe to prevent rips from YT. Someone has upped a full version of Six Moves Sideways, see link : )

Six moves sideways break is nice. Ex Acid Machina is cool but the rhythm is a bit mechanical, I can see where Daysleeper is coming from. The textures are really good in both of them.
