Lol I didn't expect to see 5 comments on this thread.
What's happening here is that I don't really have much to say about the track compared to others I've heard throughout the years and really liked. For me, Meet You at the Milk Bar is one of those super obscure tracks I found while going through the Darktremor list. Iirc I even had it on my old computer. Had to sketchily download it via one of those old-school YouTube to mp3 sites.
I have to admit that I posted this track with no intention other than "hey, this track exists and it's pretty obscure."
On to the track itself:
One of the things that stands out the most about Meet You at the Milk Bar is the bassline. It's pretty strong. I imagine it would have been frustrating to try to mix this in a set, since the bassline is present all throughout the track.
I like the repeating pad. It appears somewhere around 1 min? in and becomes more frequent after the short break somewhere in the middle of the track.
Speaking of the break - that's when you can really zoom into the percs, which I would say are nice and add a bit to the track.
If I made this track from scratch I would add a few cool features like spoken vocal samples or maybe more ambient sounds. I wonder how it would sound with something like a faint rain sample.
Hopefully that's human enough.
Edit: the pads actually start right away
