New major change on Beatport: The Trance Genre is divided in two

I see my chilled remixes on there are under 'main room Trance' - yeah that worked.

Oh dear, looks like they still haven’t fixed it. These are screenshots from the same page. This must be so frustrating.

that won't make any difference in a longer run - tagging is up to the labels, not Beatport, so the bigger\commerial ones will be (and already are) invading the deep/raw/hypnotic section (what's 'deep trance' or 'raw trance' or 'hypnotic trance' anyways? do you use these in a sentence? Beatport namings are always cringe)

I dunno if this has already been said but I thought this change was a great idea. purely for selfish reasons though, as a Joof/Forescape type of guy I don't wanna see my tracks lumped in there with all that uplifting crap, it's really not what I do

Have you seen changes to the amount of people who buy your tracks or are they getting more attention now?

Honestly I have no idea! I seem to hang around the charts a bit longer now that I don't have to complete with all the other stuff although I don't put too much stock in that sort of thing. Just happy my stuff is easier to find more than anything else

I wish they also did something like this to the Breaks section. Finding good Progressive Breaks is really hard, some are not even under Breaks but Electronica for example.
