Loving the pads, and the vibe as well. Proper classic ~2000 sound. The track just needs a proper trance arrangement and just some slight details, a sprinkling of magic and it will be better than 99% of trance out there. Same goes for Tranceatlantic.

Don't think I've told you this, but I remember your tracks from like 7-8 years ago and even then I considered you talented. But this is on another level entirely.

@Hensmon you'll like this. We talk often about how the modern interpretations of classic trance don't hold up well, and yet we have an undiscovered gem on our forum. Embarrassing.

wow thank you! your comment made my day 😊😇 what do you miss exactly? I thought about adding more elements but i like when it is more 'minimal' in a way. Could always add an arpeggio or something. Thanks again Vlad, much appreciated 👍

I don't know really, not much is missing. Just some slight details, hard to pinpoint - definitely no more melodies or such.

your perc. drums are a bit underwhelming in the mix, but I love the lush pads you employ. nice work.

Nice attempt man. I must say I am impressed. This sounds better than Airwave's latest EP which is forgettable.

Nice man, really nice. I think the musical idea, journey and flow are just excellent. I liked it instantly as a track, almost giving me hands in the air type moment actually. With some polishing and proper Trance arrangements (like Gagi said) It could be so good i.e 7+ minutes to let it develop (extend the chill breakdown maybe + proper intro and outro sections?)

I would like to listen to it on some better speakers at home as I think there might some technical stuff that could be improved, just with how it's 'mastered' (probably using that word wrong). Basically some elements maybe sounding bit muddy or distorted, or not balanced enough. I'd say its pretty close to be solid though, and not a huge issue.

I agree with Jetflag that the percs could have a touch more oomph, I especially wanted that after drop at 2:50. Not just more percs but the low ends up more too, really coming through, as they are getting overdone by the sharp and forward main synth and I didnt feel the edge/drive in the take off. That main synth melody is nice though, but perhaps a little basic and therefore can become repetitive fast, especially as its such a dominant element compared to everything else. I think actually having one more strong element to support it, either a subtle vocal or other sweeping melody would do really well to help balance it out, add varition + add to the momentum after the build. At 3:20 I can kind of hear an etheral vocal underneath? Maybe it's about making that more of a feature? Maybe just some more variation in how that synth moves throughout the bars? Not sure.

Either way, you're on to something real good, and thats 2 tracks now that have a style I wish everyone would do. Look forward to seeing more from you.

thank you guys. here is a virtual hug 🤗 i dont really have proper monitors so there are frequencies in there i can't really hear or feel. I might add a few more elements or spice up the main melody for more variety. thanks again :)

Anything that has Daysleeper's bow must be a TOTW. It's as simple as that. In fact, it was one of the rules we came up with when we revived the forum.

In all seriousness though, when us admins have our weekly meetings where we gossip about boys, decide who Katadunkass gets to ban next and vote for our TOTWs we often talk about how much the producer section is simply awesome. Lots of talented guys, lots of gems shared and lots of useful feedback given. Let me just say that us admins and our corporate overlords are happy seeing it flourish.

You've definitely nailed the 90's trance sound! Especially liking the pads - really lush sounding!

As said above, the drums (especially the kick) get lost beneath everything and don't punch through as much as they should.

Great sound otherwise though! :D

Completely missed this. Let's see what Halon did here.

Mixing is indeed rather bad. Beats are wayyyy too soft.

The build-up synth: I would add some more delay and reverb. They are a bit dry. For the delay I would select a different setting too. They are 1/8th now (half a beat?). I'd do 3/4th. I think that makes it more bouncy.

The break reminds me a little bit of Aerium - Dolphins lol. Some notes in the pads are similar.

Main melody is pleasant. I think I might have choosen a different synth sound, something more harsh. But that's taste I guess.

The mixing is the main issue. Not much else to say :)

Nice work mate.
