I just wish the Eqing and mastering was better otherwise top notch floor to floor trance.

2021 was a year of discovery and discontent for me. While I wouldn't say that my tastes have changed, I learned a sound in trance that I thought had died years ago was still alive and well, while the modern sounds that I gravitated to grew more stale than ever. Part one of my 2021 reprise is highlighting the producers who are bringing back the sounds of the late 1990s and early 2000s. All of the tunes in this mix were released in 2021.
Thanks to the r/realproghouse discord (especially the #everything-else channel, aka where the good stuff gets posted) for the fresh digs all through the pandemic.

Space Cadets (Adam Pits & Lisene) extended set from a bit back. Really solid stuff especially in the back half! I want that ID at 40 mins with the "checkpoint" samples, it's got that perfect early NFS aesthetic.
Curious what people think of this one. It's got a breakdown longer than most orchestral euphoric uplifters (zzzzzz) but is an experimental mix of trance, hypnotech (akin to Luigi Tozzi & friends), and ambient that I think sort of works out. Could be massive at the right time in an extended set!
Dunno if this was posted or not but Abdul Raeva dropped a 6 pack of IDs for Xmas! Partial to Xpress and Submerged personally.

Liking the atmosphere on this, but not to fond of the lofi mixing though.

Discovered this today. It also has a bit of NFS vibes, maybe because the similar acid style and gated pads.

Loving it. Not much a fan of hypnotech, but this has clear flow and not overly subtle.

One of my favorite mixes from last year - Seo John is one of the artists I'm most excited to see evolve this year.

Very nice ones! I like 10so especially. Looks like the EP is his debut, very impressive stuff. Digging the wide range in styles (even if most of em aren't trance).
