Oliver Smith, Above & Beyond’s first signing to Anjunabeats, reunites with Natalie Holmes on ‘Borderline’. One of the label’s most consistent contributors, Oliver Smith has appeared on every one of Above & Beyond’s “Volume” compilations to date. ‘Borderline’ has been played by Oli in his DJ sets for the last four years, and finally gets a release in 2022 as Anjunabeats’ first record of the new year. British singer/songwriter Natalie Holmes returns to Anjunabeats after a three year hiatus. Originally appearing alongside Above & Beyond on their Acoustic II tour, Natalie soon teamed up with Oli to record their 2018 collaboration ‘Zero’. She has since released a string of successful singles, including ‘Strangers’ and ‘Doubt You’ with renowned bass producers Cadmium and Rival.

It has been a long time since I enjoyed a release from Oliver Smith. This is no exception.

Its not bad, but it is lacking ideas. The same Anjuna formula again.

Sounds outdated. Very, very underwhelming, even when compared to tracks of the time.

Its very straight forward Oliver Smith track...nothing will surprise you. Plus I dont like the vocals that much, so overally its a so so good track, around 6/10 max
