With $10 I would be surprised if the feedback were anything larger than a paragraph
Yeah, I mean he'll aim to make as much money as possible therefore likely spend as little time as possible writing this stuff out. Or am I being too cynical :ROFLMAO:

These producers usually would take free demos from the promo pool and write comments like -

"Thanks for the track, great track, we will see if it suits our radioshow and if the crowd love it and play it on the radioshow or during or tour. To see if your track got played, please tune into our weekly radio show XXXXX or visit our website on www.insertartist/labelnamehere.com for more info - respecting artists."

This whole time we’ve been giving our feedback to all the various producers butchering Trance classics and we didn't charge a penny.
We shouldn't be demonizing people for putting an effort to remaking classics. I think there is nothing wrong with remaking classics - it's just doesn't cater to our needs and me personally think that these tracks however bad they may seem to you, hold data inside that people can't see.

sounds like something we're doing wrong then  Lets set up shop :D

Do you require an extra pair of ears? Do you think your work could benefit from a veteran's expertise? Are you tired of getting unconstructive comments like "ur track sucks n00b" ?

For some reason that does not surprise me. As in, I am not surprised by the fact that he (GO) is asking for money to send demos.
Look at his Instagram posts, looks like the type of guy who will take every money opportunity he can. Flashy dude and all that.

Regardless, I could probably do some """consultation""" for less.

It doesn't sit well with me after his Instagram picture from a few days ago with what I presume is his Ferrari. That's a slippery slope that can end up with labels asking money for you to submit demos.

Depends on which Ferrari it is, is it used, how old is it etc. It's nothing new taking a loan, financing it etc., doesn't have to be a straight cash purchase. Maybe it isn't his?

I mean it can't be, I don't know how much money he rakes in with gigs, the masterclass and stuff, but I seriously doubt it's 10s of thousands of Euros per gig. However much the Ferrari costs, maintenance and running costs are quite high as well.

And all of that in a pandemic that left him without his main money-making machine.

If it is indeed his, kudos to him, he's found a way to make lots of money by achieving practically nothing that will leave an impact on the trance (or music) scene long-term.

He’s not that bad though. Imo every now and then he makes the very best of what “ASOT Stadium Trance” has to offer. Till the Sunrise for example.

Plus, he was 50% of Nu-NRG right? Not the biggest name in trance classics land perhaps, but definitely much respected :)

Not exactly leaving any legacy behind. Just one of those producers who orbit around the bigger ones, without any sort of impact on the scene long-term. Made some good tracks and that's it, the rest is just promotion and marketing.

A well managed Youtube channel can earn someone thousands of pounds a month through monetization.

Although he has 164K subs on his - the total views arnt that high - even my channel has more views than his hehe.

Of course he will - in the Nu-NRG sound alone. Hes definatly been one of the better Trance producers of the past 5 years - and who else does in depth studio videos like him, showing how he makes his tracks. At least he puts in the effort.
We're talking about two different things here. 30 years from now, will someone think that GO has shaped the trance scene so very, very much (especially in the past decade or so)?
