Enjoying this release from Lost Language, two new tracks from Otto K + a remix of each. I think Tim Bourne's remix of A Strange Dream is probably my favourite.

EDIT: Finally got around to putting the links at the start of the thread....

What a release. The originals and remixes are all quality.

Love the Tim Bourne remix and the Inside Blur remix is a slamming tune.

Very nice release!
Loving the original A Strange Dream for these sweet early 2000s Psy Progressive Trance vibes.

And the Inside Blur remix of Duplicity also is sounding good for me, relentless and driving but not earbleeding, will work wonders in sets.

Here’s the Spotify link for those wanting to hear the full tracks. They usually take a while to put them up on YT.

Good to see/hear Otto putting out some more music. He’s from Dnipro, so the past couple of years must have been difficult.

Really like the original mix of Duplicity. Has a really nice techy groove.
Great release overall!

the last one is terribly bad. it sounds like you literally just spead up a video on youtube to 1.75 or whatever. it sounds absurd.

the other ones have potential. need to hear them in full.

Blurb:

In 2022 we released OTTO K's Motion in Emotion / Sea of Souls double header (LOST182), and he's back once again with another heavy split, both tracks fully loaded with their own killer remix.

A STRANGE DREAM is signature OTTO K - deep and atmospheric, with a riff reminiscent of Depeche Mode at their melancholic best, while DUPLICITY takes things even deeper, with subtle melodies and ghostly vocals fading in and out of the psy-prog fog.

Never name the well from which you'll never drink - and Tim Bourne says this will be his last prog-trance production (for a while) - so we're honoured that he's chosen us, remixing A Strange Dream into a sublime prog trancer. Delicately melodic, with intricate percs peppered over heavy grooves - all the more impressive considering he had to mix and master this one using his Apple AirPods, inspiring him to name it his 'Pod' remix.

Fresh from releasing the superb 'Among Mortals EP' on Vertige Records, Montreal's INSIDE BLUR makes her Lost Language debut with a stunning remix of Otto's Duplicity, and we could not be happier with the result. Her remix is a fast n' moody, acid-laced tech trancer - hard, beautiful, no fucking about - just the way we like it.

I do dig the originals, but I'm leaning more towards the remixes. The Tim Bourne remix is fantastic, very much reminds me of the Manmachine remix for Late Reflections in terms of the overall vibe.

Like the Inside Blur mix of Duplicity too, no matter how absurd. :p

Original the pick for me, not bad at all. Does have some kind of progressive psy elements to it.

Bourne remix not too bad. The melody is too cheesey sounding for me, was hoping for something more serious to go with the rest because its good

Duplicity also had me in a hypnotic state.

None of the really pushing the excitement levels or journey, but solid and enjoyable proggy stuff.

A nice psychedelic approach in the original, but lacking some organic feel that puts it properly in the trippy category. Will listen some more before fully deciding.
